This year (2018) 71 nations of the fromer British Commonwealth, as diverse as Guernsey to Papua New Guinea will meet and compete in Australia’s Gold Coast. They will compete at 19 of the Commonwealth’s favourite sports, such as netball, badminton and lawn bowles. However, many see the Commonwealth Games as a wannabe-Olympics, but without the big guns (like the USA, China and Russia).

What if all the sports at the Commonwealth Games came from Commonwealth countires?

In this seires, we will explore the far reaches of the diverse set of nations and find the most cultural, unique, and sometimes crazy sports of this year’s Commonwealth nations.
